SUMMARY:WE Forum - Doing Business in Med City - Catering to the Patient Experience
DESCRIPTION:Doing Business in the Med City: Catering to the Patient Experience\n\nWhat does it mean to do business in Med City? Rochester offers unique opportunities and challenges when seeking to start a business in this medically focused community. Many of those challenges and opportunities center around the patient experience and the needs of this ever growing customer base. Not only that\, but we also have a large transplant community of medical professionals.\n\nWhat do you need to know to make your business attractive to both the medical workforce and the patients who come here for care? Join us to hear from women who have successfully designed and launched businesses that cater to these groups\, and find out if there are unserved markets for you to tap into and launch or grow a business in the Med City.\n\n\n\nTrail Creek Roasters will be providing coffee for the event.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is the WE Forum?\n\nThe Women Entrepreneurs (WE) Forum was launched in 2019 to provide free educational programming for women who are running a business\, as well as those who are seeking to start a business. The idea started as a partnership between Saint Mary's University and the Rochester Area Economic Development Inc. (RAEDI)\, and as we enter 2020\, we have a new partner in the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. This partnership is indicative of the desire and commitment of all three organizations to support new business start ups and ensure they have the right training and networks to succeed.\n\n\n\nWhat Happens at our Events?\n\nEach month we gather for a time of networking followed by a panel of speakers who have deep experience in the topic to be discussed. The panel is moderated\, with lots of room for questions from the attendees to ensure the discussion is relevant\, informed by experience\, and addresses the real questions women have when running a business.\n\n\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nThese events have proven to be valuable networking and learning events for women business owners. It is a chance to hear from those who have faced the same challenges and hear how they navigated those challenges to become successful entrepreneurs. Come and meet other Rochester area women who are passionate about their ideas and their business. You may find your next client or business partner!
