SUMMARY:Women's Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:Featured Speakers:\n\n \n\nChris Armstrong\, Owner of Chris Armstrong Yoga\nChris Armstrong started doing yoga from a book to help with the stress of law school and studying for the bar\, and found it again in order to help with the stress of family issues\, while simultaneously working for a Fortune 500 company. It worked so well\, she wanted to find out how\, so when a yoga teacher training was offered in Rochester\, she gave it to herself as a 50th birthday present. After that 230-hour training\, she went on for 300 more hours of training\, then 1008 hours of yoga therapist training and is now a certified yoga therapist as well. \n\nShe currently creates short 10- to 20-minute practices for people to do daily at home in order to help them move forward\, whatever that means to them\, as well as group classes\, particularly for people with a shared challenge. She has worked with physicians\, patients\, including people waiting for organs and after transplant\, caregivers\, therapists\, professors\, attorneys\, IT professionals\, entrepreneurs\, seniors\, working parents with no time\, people experiencing grief\, people in transition\, and many others\, and she would love to create a custom practice for you.\n\n \n \n\nMalia Ray\, Owner of Raydient Wellness\n\n\n\nMalia Ray MD is an Internal Medicine/Lifestyle Medicine physician and the founder of Raydiant Wellness. She addresses her client's health concerns in a holistic manner with a special emphasis on how lifestyle habits and behaviors are contributing. As a behavior change expert\, she meets her clients where they are in their journey to improved health and works with them closely to create the habits needed to meet their health goals. Her initial interest in this area began as a journey in self perseveration when she was a sleep deprived\, chronically stressed pulmonary and critical care physician. Now that she has free time\, she enjoys reading\, cooking\, spending time outdoors\, and activity of all sorts\, especially trail running. Her background as a runner has cultivated a special interest in female hormones throughout the stages of life\, particularly as they relate to athletic performance. \n\n\n\nDevelop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Roundtable provides a small\, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills\, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership\, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun\, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.\n\n\n\n**Please note that all presentations and content delivered within or in the promotion of Roundtable meetings are entirely Roundtable Chair and member/attendee driven. Any messaging and content conveyed within and for these meetings is in no way representative of the Chamber's views\, ideals\, or positioning.**
