DESCRIPTION:Develop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Round Table provides a small\, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills\, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership\, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun\, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.\n\nTimeline\n\n7:30 am | Networking\n\n7:45 am | 30 Sec. Commercials by Attendees\n\n8:00 - 8:55 am | Presentation/Q & A and Discussion\n\n8:55 - 9:00 am | Wrap-Up\n\n\n\nJoin us in a presentation by Julie Ruzek on the Community Schools Model.\n\n\n\nJulie Ruzek will be giving an introduction/overview of the Community Schools model and the work being done in Rochester Public Schools to implement this model at two local elementary buildings. She will talk about the components of a full implementation community school\, highlight what partnership looks like within this model\, and review the timeline.\n\n\n\nJulie describes herself as forever and always a teacher. However\, right now she is indirectly serving students as the Facilitator of Family and Community Engagement for the district. This means she works with local schools to build and sustain family and community partnerships that support student growth and achievement. Julie loves her job\, the community\, and seeing the ever growing overlap between the two!
