SUMMARY:Women's Round Table
DESCRIPTION:Develop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Round Table provides a small\, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills\, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership\, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun\, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.\n\n\n\nTimeline\n\n7:30 am | Networking\n\n7:45 am | 30 Sec. Commercials by Attendees\n\n8:00 - 8:55 am | Presentation/Q & A and Discussion\n\n8:55 - 9:00 am | Wrap-Up\n\n\n\nFollowing an exciting presentation from Girl Scouts of River Valley\, this month's round table will be a workshop in which three topics will be covered:\n\n\n\n1. Book Groups -- if you are interested in leading a book group conversation\, we are looking for books that will inspire more women to pursue positions of executive leadership/owners/board chairs as we know waiting until 2085 for parity in these positions with our male counter parts is too long.\n\n\n\n2. Experiential Learning -- how can you and your organization partner with youth organizations in our region to create meaningful lessons for our future? Create a tour\, a hands on lesson\, or a panel conversation to engage our youth early and often with the choices for a future career.\n\n\n\n3. Facilitated Conversation about the future of round table. What do you hope to see in a new and rotated format?\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Chamber welcomes you to get involved in our monthly round tables that best suit you and your business' needs. Visit our event calendar for more information on these upcoming events and to register. All round tables are free and are exclusive for Chamber members only. The schedule of round table events can be found on the Chamber's event calendar - http://business.rochestermnchamber.com/events/calendar/\n\n\n\nMembers of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce are welcome to attend. In addition\, prospective members are invited to attend twice before setting up a meeting to discuss whether Chamber membership is right for their organization.
