DESCRIPTION:Develop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Round Table provides a small\, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills\, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership\, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun\, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU WILL LEARN\n\nOne-half percent of the sales tax that was collected a few years ago was committed to the development of a career and technical education center in Rochester. This center would partner with the K-12 institutions\, institutes of higher education\, work force development centers and more to develop a robust work force for southeastern Minnesota. Employers in the community identified and helped develop the career pathways in accordance to need.  Learn more about the educational opportunities for students\, as well as partnership opportunities for our community employers from this month's round table speaker\, Jayne Gibson\, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction with Rochester Public Schools.\n\n\n\nABOUT JAYNE GIBSON\n\nJayne Gibson grew up right down the road in Austin\, MN.  Upon graduating from high school\, she joined the United States Marine Corps.  Additionally she worked in insurance\, real estate and various sales offices prior to  entering into the realm of education. She has been blessed to hold many positions within the E-12 public school systems including secretary\, paraprofessional\, substitute teacher\, teacher\, principal and district level positions. \n\n \n\nAs the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction with Rochester Public Schools\, she has had the good fortune of being closely involved with the planning and preparing of the Career and Technical Education Center at Heintz.
