SUMMARY:Women's Round Table
DESCRIPTION:Develop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Round Table provides a small\, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills\, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership\, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun\, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.\n\n\n\nThis meeting will feature a presentation by Jacob Peterson:\n\nJacob Petersen grew up in southern Minnesota\, but has traveled throughout the world learning about different cultures. Jacob has an MBA and is a CPA and has been in public accounting for the past 10 years. Previously Jacob held the Certified Valuation Analyst credential\, signifying he can competently appraise businesses. For the past 7 years Jacob has been a business owner\, operating a small business tax and accounting practice which has grown to over 750 clients in that time. Jacob has helped countless small businesses start from scratch and build brands that you would recognize today. In the future Jacob looks forward to working with business owners to make their dreams become a reality.\n\n\n\nPresentation Details: How much is my business worth? How do I know when I am ready to leave a business? When is the right time to sell my business? How do I go about selling my business? These questions and more related to these topics will be answered during our discussion. Jacob will explain how a business is valued\, how to know when it is time to move on from your business\, and what you should do to prepare to sell your business when the time comes. Owning and operating a business is a challenge\, and selling it can be even harder\, but with some knowledge about how the process works\, you can be prepared to tackle the job.\n\n\n\n**Please note that all presentations and content delivered within or in the promotion of Round Table meetings are entirely Round Table Chair and member/attendee driven. Any messaging and content conveyed within and for these meetings is in no way representative of the Chamber's views\, ideals\, or positioning.**\n\n\n\nMembers of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce are welcome to attend. In addition\, prospective members are invited to attend twice before setting up a meeting to discuss whether Chamber membership is right for their organization.
