Lunch with the Experts
The Chamber's new Lunch with the Experts series gives participants the opportunity to learn from industry experts featured in the Expert Advice column in the Chamber Advantage.
This month's Lunch with the Experts topic is presented by Gary Van Cleve and Rob Stefonowicz of Larkin Hoffman. Gary and Rob will speak about the rights of Minnesota property owners when their property is taken for a public project.
The government and public service corporations have the power to take private property for public use or a public purpose. Both the U.S. and Minnesota Constitutions provide that if some or all of a property owner’s land is taken, the owner has a right to be paid “just compensation.”
Attend this Lunch with the Experts event to hear more and to discuss the rights of property owners when it comes to eminent domain issues.
