Power System Operator
Joint-action electric utility seeks an individual to operate and manage the operations of the Agency’s electric power system consistent with regulatory standards and Agency guidelines.
- Starting salary ($83,000 – $100,000) based on education and experience.

Qualifications for the position:
- Two-year degree in electronics or electrical power engineering technology, or equivalent utility experience.
- North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) certification. If not certified, candidate will be required to obtain NERC certification within 6 months of hire date.
- Ability to learn and understand NERC standards, Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) policies and procedures, and other regional transmission operator business practices.
- Working knowledge of interconnected power system operations, generation and transmission systems, power pooling, computer systems, SCADA equipment, and metering and relaying equipment beneficial.
- Able to work a rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
